My name is actually Lisa and I'm a mother of three rebellious and wonderful kids who are bound to send me gray before my time. They are my world. As is my wonderful husband, who supports me in everything.
I live in a small town in Western Australia, called Donnybrook. It reknowned for it's apple orchards and there's actually more orchards, than there is town itself. I'm serious. It's a mainstreet kind of town that you drive through in five minutes. But it's home to me and I love it. It's the sort of town where we can leave our car unlocked, or windows open in summer without worrying about break ins. It's the sort of town where my kids can walk to the park alone and I know they are safe, because everyone knows them and watches out for them. It's the sort of town where you know the local shop owners, the guy in the Post Office, the video store...all by their names and you get genuine smiles when you see them.
Small town living....it's awesome.
As for myself? Well when I'm not running around after my three kids, husband and the menagerie of animals I own (or own me, as they seem to think) then I like to try my hand at writing and making videos for my chosen fandom.
Before Supernatural introduced me to the heavenliness that is Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki, I was an avid fan of Buffy and Angel. Angel and Spike remain my two favorite vampires to this day. I used to roleplay in the Buffyverse and write seriously crappy fic for it. No...I mean seriously crappy.
And then I stumbled across Supernatural thanks to the constant prodding of my nephew and another good friend/podly sister of mine, Christie. Well...that was like the dawn of a new age. I contracted tonsilitis not long after getting the whole of Season 1 and curled up in bed with my laptop to watch it. Three days later? I was completely and utterly addicted. In a it's eaten my brain kind of way. I began to write fanfic for it...created several roleplaying games for it....and camped out at Youtube watching fanvids.
Which brings me to the best part about my addiction to this show. I met my best buddy, Tara, through Youtube and a simple request for a vid. That's now grown in a solid friendship that I couldn't do without and even led me to learning to make my own vids. If it wasn't for Tara? There would be no need for this site, because she was the driving force behind my vidding and my delving more and more into fanfic.
I owe Tara more than I can repay....cause she has to put up with me now. LOL But hey, I love ya, mate, if you're reading this. *HUGS*
So that's it. That's me. Mother, wife, pet owner, vidder and fan fic writer. I'm constantly discovering things about myself as we all do in life. But for now? I'm content with who I am.
